One Day Course - Online (MS Teams) - 26th June 2024

The Empty Homes Network will be hosting the following course, aimed at new empty homes officers and practitioners, and local authorities who are developing or establishing their empty homes services.

Designed to be eductational, interactive and informative, this course aims to provide a solid foundation from which to build and develop a successful empty homes service, and to give officers an understanding of everything they need from council tax to compulsory purchase orders.

The one-day course outline includes:

- Establishing your empty homes service

- Council Tax & casework

- Setting up and maintaining a database

- Options and assistance for owners

- Enforcement & application

- Resources, tools and tips for success

The course is suitable for all newly appointed empty homes officers, or housing professionals who may have had empty homes recently added to their wider roles. 

The course will be held virtually, on the Microsoft Teams platform.

Places on this course are limited, and are available on a first come first served basis.
