Bolsover District Council are celebrating Empty Homes Week by promoting its Empty Homes service and its achievements over the past year. Visitors to the website will be treated to a different news article each day to show how the Council are helping to bring empty properties back into use. Articles include; How the Council can help owners, the transformation of 3 terraced houses converted into 6 apartments and the ongoing conversion of a former Hotel - that has been empty for more than 15 years - into apartments through a Private Sector Leasing Scheme.
The Council has a partnership agreement with Action Housing who have helped owners to bring their empty properties back into use and who are keen to identify properties for future projects.
