Housing crisis: more than 200,000 homes in England lie empty

Some interesting analysis, but in its rankings it focuses on absolute numbers rather than percentages of stock and so gives misleading indications of the relative problem in different areas. Seems to be based on a Property Partner report issued last Autumn based on DCLG figures. Not new news but newly reported by the Guardian.
