Event Details

A new initiative for the Network, the EHN Regional Roundtables provide a dedicated, online space for empty homes practitioners to come together in a supportive and collaborative forum. Initially to be held triannually, these sessions are designed to enable officers to share ideas, discuss casework, exchange best practice and reflect on challenges with peers working in similar roles, within a friendly and like-minded environment.

Established across all nine regions of England, alongside an additional Roundtable for Wales, sessions are open to EHN Corporate Members and will take place virtually, making them accessible regardless of location.

As part of EHN’s ambition to expand its reach and strengthen practitioner input into our policy development and lobbying activity, the Regional Roundtables will play an important role in shaping the Network’s understanding of emerging issues, pressures and opportunities at a regional and local level. They are intended to complement rather than replace existing forums and networks, adding value to the landscape of practitioner engagement already taking place.

Each Roundtable will also feature guest speakers, with content shaped by regional priorities. Speakers, sessions and contributors will be drawn from across the empty homes sector and wider housing field, responding to the issues and expertise most relevant to each region.

About Empty Property Hunters

Empty Property Hunters are a specialist property company focused exclusively on tracing the owners of long-term empty residential properties and helping bring vacant homes back into use. Our mission is to identify difficult-to-contact owners, open lines of communication and find practical solutions that benefit both owners and communities.

We understand that many local authorities already use tracing services, and that's great. However, the cases we enjoy most are often the ones that have remained unresolved for months or even years, where ownership is unclear, correspondence goes unanswered, or previous tracing efforts have reached a dead end. Our in-house research team specialises in these more challenging cases, including owners who have moved abroad, entered care, or where probate and family circumstances have complicated matters.

In 2026, we have purchased 52 long-term empty properties, many introduced by local authorities including those in Swindon, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. We are also currently assisting a London local authority with some of its most challenging and long-standing empty homes cases.

If you have a backlog of difficult empty properties that have proved hard to progress, we would welcome the opportunity to assist.

We would also be pleased to be included on your investor list where owners express an interest in selling. As a trusted national firm specialising in long-term empty homes, we can often provide a straightforward solution for owners, including assistance with property clearances and contributions towards legal costs where appropriate.
