A new initiative for the Network, the EHN Regional Roundtables provide a dedicated, online space for empty homes practitioners to come together in a supportive and collaborative forum. Initially to be held triannually, these sessions are designed to enable officers to share ideas, discuss casework, exchange best practice and reflect on challenges with peers working in similar roles, within a friendly and like-minded environment.
Established across all nine regions of England, alongside an additional Roundtable for Wales, sessions are open to EHN Corporate Members and will take place virtually, making them accessible regardless of location.
As part of EHN’s ambition to expand its reach and strengthen practitioner input into our policy development and lobbying activity, the Regional Roundtables will play an important role in shaping the Network’s understanding of emerging issues, pressures and opportunities at a regional and local level. They are intended to complement rather than replace existing forums and networks, adding value to the landscape of practitioner engagement already taking place.
Each Roundtable will also feature guest speakers, with content shaped by regional priorities. Speakers, sessions and contributors will be drawn from across the empty homes sector and wider housing field, responding to the issues and expertise most relevant to each region.
