This is our current policy paper, originally developed late 2014 to provide suggestions for the political parties in the run-up to the 2015 General Election. Comments are welcome at any time, either by email to admin@ehnetwork.org.uk or in our forum.
23rd November 2014 - 1st draft circulated to Executive
27th November 2014 - 2nd draft added to library, available for comment by all members.
7th December 2014 - 3rd draft replaces 2nd draft as the main file [see above]; but 2nd draft is attached also to the library item [see below].
8th December 2014 - 4th draft with some further amendments which were unintentionally omitted from the 3rd draft.
16th December 2014 - 6th draft which reflects discussion at the EHN Executive. Financial aspects relevant to local authority initiatives have been given more prominence - ie Empty Homes Premium, council tax on second homes, and New Homes Bonus.
12th January 2015 - 8th draft with changes to the section on Local Initiatives: the policy ask is expanded to include local support, referencing points around consultation on regeneration schemes made as part of George Clarke's Empty Homes Review; plus the importance of dedicated empty homes practitioner is highlighed.
13th February 2015 - Final official version published.
