Financialisation of housing - UN report

With the not-so-catchy title 'Report of the Special Rapporteur on adequate housing as a component of the right to an adequate standard of living, and on the right to non-discrimination in this context' this report does provided a overview of the world-wide 'financialisation' or 'commoditisation' of housing, in other words, underlying economic trends that affect us all. Its relevance for empty homes lies in the tact that it discusses buy-to-leave.
The report is to the UN Human Rights Council, which is a useful reminder that shelter is a basic human need.
