This fund has been set up by Resonance Ltd. with the London homelessness charity Broadway to help acquire housing for homeless people. St. Mungos / Broadway manage the properties. The July report gives a good description of what the fund is about.
Because of the impact on homelessness, LB of Croydon has recently invested £10million in the fund and may invest £10millon more. The Fund is now aiming to acquire 220 flats across London.
The is an example of alternative sources of finance that could be brought into play to address the empty homes issue.
