Preparations are well in hand for the national Empty Homes Conference to be held in Birmingham on Thursday, 18th October.
The strong line-up includes the first appearance by Will McMahon, the new Director of Action on Empty Homes, who is now blogging on our website and is looking forward to beginning a new dialogue with practitioners, a vital session on GDPR by Fiona Anthony of specialist legal firm nplaw, a behind-the-scenes account of Liverpool's '£1 House' scheme by Tony Mousdale, who featured in the Channel 4 series, well-established favourites such as Andrew Lavender's 'Practitioner Surgery' ... and much, much more.
We are very pleased that this year's event is being sponsored by the
Property Guardian Providers Association, comprising 7 leading firms within the industry. It means we are able to keep prices low for yet another year, with delegate fees as low as £99 for small voluntary organisations and only £119 for 'additional delegates' from Full EHN members. The Forum was specifically created to raise standards and has put its money where its mouth is by publishing legal guidance prepared by top lawyers. (See our
previous news story). We welcome and support its endeavours.
There are still plenty of places left but there is a steady flow of bookings. All recent conferences have got close to capacity, and this one is running in Empty Homes Week, so there will be plenty of interest. Book now to avoid disappointment.
Full details of the Conference can be found on the
Conference web-page. You can download the brochure and booking form from there.
You can also submit questions to speakers in advance via our special
Conference Forum.
