Channel 4 to broadcast campaigning programmes on empty homes

Production company Tiger Aspect is producing a 3-part campaigning series for Channel 4 about the issue of empty homes. The series, presented by architect George Clarke, will look at the problem of empty homes in the UK and the policies and issues connected with them. In each hour long episode George aims to highlight the waste and look at how these homes can be brought back into use. Tiger Aspect would like to hear the stories behind the thousands of empty homes across the UK. If you have any insights or information that you think would be helpful, please contact Duncan at duncansingh@tigeraspect.co.uk Conversations will be treated in the strictest confidence. Broadcast magazine has reported on the plans for the programme here (restricted to subsrcibers only) and George Clarke is blogging about his involvement here. We understand that this series will be broadcast on prime-time not day-time TV and we hope that the Empty Homes Network will have an opportunity to make its voice heard. It may be a useful opportunity for the empty homes practitioner's voice to be heard in a wider context than just that of an individual empty home and we welcome it.
