EHN Award Winners 2023: Best Use of Media Award, sponsored by Grafton Empty Homes

July 4, 2023

Presented at our annual Conference in May, the EHN Awards serve to recognise and celebrate the work that empty homes officers, team and practitioners do on a daily basis, and enable them to promote their successes through national recognition. This year was no different, with some incredible examples of projects, case studies and people, who have displayed fantastic attributes to bring empty homes back into use in their areas.

Aiming to encourage the use of media through empty homes week and to highlight where practitioners and councils can be proactive in promoting their work and services, the Best Use of Media Award, sponsored by Grafton Empty Homes, serves to reward those that have been effective in spreading their message. Be it as an internal communication, an external press release or social media campaign, this award seeks submissions that can include the positive promotion of an empty homes service, a success story in the return to use of a property, or by sending a message to empty home owners locally.

On awarding this, the panel described the winner’s submission, Lendology CiC, as..

“An excellent, creative way to expose the support on offer to a hard-to-reach audience, Lendology should not only be celebrated for the video and their use of this form of media, but also the work they do in supporting and encouraging the return to use of empty homes.“

Congratulations to Lendology and the team for a fantastic video, highlighting what can be achieved when partners come together with a common goal!
