The Empty Homes Network are excited to announce our Exhibitor+ Sponsors for this year's Virtual Conference on Thursday 27th May, as Fraser & Fraser, Bevan Brittan, Grafton Empty Homes Ltd, and No Use Empty: Kent.
Having supported our events for a number of years, Fraser & Fraser, Grafton Empty Homes and No Use Empty: Kent return for our first Virtual Conference, and all will be on hand throughout the event to answer any questions you have, and demonstrate how they and their temas can support you in the work you do.

Fraser & Fraser
Founded in 1969, Fraser and Fraser have been tracking down missing and unknown relevant people for clients in the public and private sectors. In the Empty Homes space, this means confirming the whereabouts of owners of empty properties or, where they have passed away, locating their executors or next of kin as the case may be so that the property can change hands and be brought back into use.

Bevan Brittan
Bevan Brittan is a UK-Top 100 national law firm, providing legal and advisory advice within the housing, local government and health and social care sectors.
We work with a range of local authorities and social housing providers to effectively implement their empty home strategies. In 2019 there were more than 648,000 empty properties in England. Our experienced legal team have been assisting local authorities to bring these empty properties back into use by advising on disrepair issues, anti-social behaviour, and enforcing sales to recover costs.
The enforced sales route can be extremely beneficial to councils and their communities - providing faster results than embarking on a Compulsory Purchase of a property to bring an empty home back into use where its owner has neglected to maintain it. It enables a council to recover all of its costs from the sales proceeds, including the costs of works the local authority has had to undertake, and the costs of sale. The enforced sale strategy also brings about social benefits to a local area formerly blighted by an empty home, and financial benefits for a local authority through the New Homes Bonus Scheme - available to councils for bringing an empty home back into use - and council tax revenue once the property is occupied.

Grafton Empty Homes
Grafton Empty Homes are the only dedicated Empty Homes Research & Solutions specialist. For 15 years we have been building bridges with councils and home owners, regularly succeeding in our aim of bringing empty homes back into use.
We have blended a winning team, some of whom have worked for local authorities or have otherwise been immersed in all things Empty Homes. We have a considered and emphatic approach to this work and although much copied it has never been equalled.

No Use Empty: Kent
With the UK experiencing challenging times initiatives such as No Use Empty are becoming increasingly important.
Delivered by Kent County Council in partnership with all 12 district councils since 2005, it provides an exemplar model which can be replicated across the Country.
No Use Empty remains committed to reducing the numbers of long-term empty properties through a range of interventions, returning an average of 500 per year back into use.
Planning, dedicating resources, monitoring outcomes, adjusting delivery models to reflect current market conditions, providing financial assistance to owners by offering secured short-term loans with repayments recycled for new loans and above all continuity are the ingredients to their success.
In addition to this Kent County Council invested a further £12m into the initiative to provide short-term finance to those wanting to bring derelict sites into use for new homes which is also making an impact. This will further support the Kent economy as well as allowing us to regenerate local communities.
