The panel consisted of Keith Gunner of Southampton City Council, Britain's longest-serving Empty Homes Officer and himself a winner of an Empty Homes Agency Liftetime Achievement award, Nick Hilton of Ad Hoc Property Management, and David Gibbens (Secretary). After a split vote and some careful thought the panel decided that one award was not sufficient. The final results, then, were as follows:: J O I N T W I N N E R S Steve Habgood, (LB of Bromley): For his hard work in securing London's first final EDMO. Extract: "Steve proceeded with patience and determination when faced with the adversity that would put many practitioners off....This is the type of empty property work that deserves endorsement - bold, brave, committed, successful." Steve could not unfortunately make the awards presentation at the Birmingham Conference but we hope he will be able to receive it at the Executive meeting in London on June 21st. Zainul Pirmohamed (Stoke-on-Trent City Council) For her commitment, creativity and perseverance in builidng the local empty homes initaitive in her area.
