£27,052 - £28,636 per annum
37 hours, Fixed-term until 31 March 2013 We are looking for two enthusiastic individuals to join the Private Sector Housing Division based in Shrewsbury, operating throughout the Shropshire Council area. You will provide a lead role in implementing the Council’s emerging Empty Homes Strategy to bring empty homes back into use, working closely with internal and external partners including communities. This post requires education to degree level or equivalent and a formal qualification in Housing, Environmental Health or Construction. Experience of inspecting properties, identifying hazards under the Housing, Health and Safety Rating System and compliance with the Decent Homes Standard is essential. Experience of high level negotiation on significant issues in housing or a similar field would be beneficial. The post requires a valid driving licence.
