Halifax Empty Homes Report 2010

This regular annual report from the Halifax (now part of Lloyds/TSB) summarises the empty homes data from the local authority Housing Strategy Statistical Appendix returns but usefully supplements this with information about property prices and indices of deprivation.
The HSSA figures include (or should include if the instructions have been properly followed) exempt properties, unllke the CTB figures. However, they are also much more inconsistent from authority to authority and are clearly not properly audited. Empty HOmes have also produced a response on the inaccuracy of the HSSA data and they have a detailed analysis of flaws in the data for an earlier year. See here for the link to their response.
