EHN Conference 2023: Fantastic speakers, informative sessions, and large attendance make for a successful event!

The EHN Conference returned for it’s first in-person event since 2019 on Wednesday 24th May, and with a day packed with informative sessions, fifteen exhibitor stands and our largest ever number of attendees, it proved to be a hugely successful day.

Officially opened by Councillor Jayne Francis, Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness for Birmingham City Council, delegates heard from Deputy David Warr, Minister for Housing and Communities from the Government of Jersey, Steven March of Dorset Council, and newly awarded Empty Homes Practitioner of the Year, Daniel Newman to name a few.

Sessions covering Why CPO’s Fail, a projects update from Action on Empty Homes and an Enforcement Q&A with Andrew Lavender, ensured the day was as varied as it was interesting,

Opportunities to network with old friends and make new contacts were plentiful, with delegates enjoying a fantastic 2-course hot lunch supplied by our fantastic host at The Studio.

A huge thank you goes to our sponsors and exhibitors on the day, who helped create a great energy in the room through discussions and connections with delegates, who shared how their services can help shape and support their empty homes services.

From our main sponsors at Fraser & Fraser, through to NPLaw, Savills Auctions, Grafton Empty Homes, Bevan Brittan LLP, Finders International, Estate Research, No Use Empty: Kent, to our additional exhibitors on the day which included, Auction House, Anglia Research Services, Taylor James Auctions, Ad Hoc Property Management, Land Hero, Home-Fresh and Serco Empty Homes Services, a huge thank you from all of the delegates, and us at The Empty Homes Network for your support on the day.

A huge thank you to all who were able to attend, and we look forward to sharing ore about the day in the coming weeks, as well as updating on plans for the EHN Conference 2024 in due course!
