The EHN Conference 2026, held on Wednesday at The Studio in Birmingham, proved to be another outstanding success, bringing together practitioners, local authorities, organisations, partners and supporters from across the country for a day of insight, collaboration and celebration.
With a packed programme of expert speakers, engaging discussion, networking opportunities and the presentation of the EHN Awards 2026, this year’s Conference once again demonstrated the strength, passion and innovation that continues to drive the empty homes sector forward.
Our sincere thanks go to every delegate, speaker, exhibitor, sponsor and supporter who helped make the day such a memorable and successful event.
Informative Sessions & Expert Speakers
This year’s Conference delivered an exceptional range of sessions covering policy, enforcement, regeneration, investment, partnership working and practical approaches to bringing empty homes back into use.
Delegates heard from an impressive line-up of speakers sharing knowledge, experience and examples of best practice from across the sector. Sessions explored some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities currently facing practitioners, while also highlighting the innovative work being undertaken by local authorities, organisations and communities nationwide.
The return of our popular legal and enforcement surgeries also provided attendees with valuable one-to-one guidance and practical support from sector specialists throughout the day.
Celebrating Success: EHN Awards 2026
A major highlight of the day was the presentation of the EHN Awards 2026, celebrating the dedication, achievements and successes of empty homes practitioners, local authorities and organisations across the country.
The Awards showcased the outstanding work taking place to return empty properties back into use and revitalise communities, while recognising the individuals and teams making a genuine difference through often challenging and complex work.
Congratulations to all of this year’s winners, highly commended recipients and nominees. The standard of submissions was exceptionally high and reflected the commitment, creativity and determination present throughout the sector.
More information and details about our winners and there submissions, will be featured in news stories on the EHN website in due course.
Networking, Collaboration & Support
Beyond the conference sessions themselves, the day provided fantastic opportunities for networking, collaboration and relationship-building between delegates, exhibitors, sponsors and supporters.
Our exhibition spaces remained busy throughout the day, with exhibitors sharing services, initiatives, technology and solutions designed to support practitioners in their work. Delegates were able to exchange ideas, discuss challenges and build valuable new connections with colleagues and organisations from across the UK.
We would also like to extend our thanks to all of our sponsors and supporters whose continued backing enables the Conference to grow year after year and remain an accessible, high-quality national event for the sector. Special thanks once again go to Fraser & Fraser for their continued support as our Main Conference Sponsor.
