Empty Homes, No Use Empty: Kent & North Kesteven feature on BBC’s The One Show

The recent media interest surrounding empty homes continues to gather pace, with the work done by No Use Empty: Kent featuring in a segment of last night’s The One Show programme on BBC1.

Highlighting the work that the scheme continues to do to bring empty homes back into use, the programme followed Steve Grimshaw and Tom Davies on a visit to some properties under refurbishment.

Making the link between the Government’s recent housebuilding targets, the programme referred to the ability for councils to use existing stock to meet local demand, and that bringing empty homes back into use is in part one of the solutions that should be considered to increase supply.
