New funding for empty homes - latest info

Latest news
September 6, 2012

David Ireland of the charity Empty Homes tells us that he has had contact with a senior source at CLG. He has fed back as follows: The Empty homes part of this announcement is essentially a second round of the £100m programme. It will fund getting a further 5,000 empty homes into use. She wasn't able to confirm the amount specifically allocated to empty homes, but it seems likely that it will be about £100m again. This new round is likely to include a further round of the community grants programme. This is fantastic news and a real endorsement of the applications people put in to the first round. There is a call outstanding from EHN to CLG and we will let you know if there are any further details.
